Position: Fundraiser/ Domestic Violence Shelter Marketing Professional
Department: SHF RanchEmployment Services

The Safe Harbor Foundation (SHF), is a private, non-profit national organization dedicated to assisting victims of domestic violence and their animals to be able to rebuild their shattered lives using the resources of the Safe Harbor Foundation. SHF offers a wide range of educational programs, and provides supportive services to patients and family members.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, implementation and creative thinking to execute this national campaign. This position will provide leadership, vision and support to chapter volunteers to help maximize growth potential of the campaign.

Essential Functions
• Develop and implement a three year strategic plan to show significant revenue growth in the SHF Ranch Program
• Develop and implement annual operational plan that includes detailed budget, team development, corporate development, volunteer development and logistic plans
• Identify target audiences and build appropriate marketing strategies to recruit, acknowledge and retain event participants and sponsors
• Develop a marketing and promotional plan to enhance visibility and increase community awareness and participation in the SHF Ranch Program
• Identify, recruit and mobilize business and community leaders to serve as volunteers and sponsors
• Create and maintain timelines, budgets and logistical needs for campaign events
• Manages and assures the development of campaign materials required for the success and implementation of the SHF Ranch Program events
• Provides staff support for volunteers, participants and committees required for the success of the SHF Ranch Program
• Tracks income and expenses associated with the SHF Ranch Program

Qualifications
• College graduate with relevant experience
• Minimum 2 years fundraising and event management experience
• Significant skills in planning, budgeting, and volunteer development
• Excellent computer skills
• Available to work evenings and weekends
• Self starter
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Capable of building and sustaining relationships with a variety of individuals and businesses
• Flexible and adaptable
• Sense of humor
• Articulate in person and on the phone
• Meticulous attention to detail

Position: Case Manager (Leonard, Texas)

Job Summary:
The purpose of Case Management is to conduct comprehensive intake and assessments of client needs to determine the barriers to employment; to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate individualized employment service plans; and to assist the client with American work culture orientation, aid the client in acquiring the necessary skills to effectively participate in job search, and connect clients with job opportunities leading the client towards self-sufficiency. The purpose of the SHF Ranch Employment program is to work with all clients at their level of employability to empower them toward employment-based economic self-sufficiency.

Essential Functions:
1. The case manager (CM) conducts intake interviews, completes comprehensive assessments, and develops and implements service plans for SHF Domesticv Violence Victims. The case manager monitors and evaluates client progress and adjusts service plans as necessary.
3. The CM conducts outreach for programs, schedules services for clients, receives referrals, counsels walk-ins, conducts home visits, prepares and maintains detailed case files and other forms, and reports and participates in agency and community activities to enhance services.
4. CM delivers services and support that reflect the unique cultural values of each client.
5. CM works closely with the case aids to help clients reduce their reliance on public benefits.
6. The CM works directly with local employers and the chambers of commerce to assist in finding full-time employment opportunities for clients which include health benefits.

Qualifications:
Include but not limited to:
1. Bachelor of Social Work or a 4 year college degree in a related field with 2 years experience in social services.
2. Candidates who are bilingual in a current refugee language will be given priority (Burmese, Karen, Arabic and Nepali)
3. Fluent in both, written and spoken English is required.
4. Must have good computer skills. Must be able to type and know how to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, and Outlook Express.
5. Must be willing to transport clients to their appointments in his/her car.
6. Must maintain accurate and concise documentation of contacts with clients, including follow-ups on referrals, home visits, job referrals, job placements, and other services provided to clients.
7. Must have reliable transportation, a current Texas driver’s license, and evidence of auto liability insurance.

Work Hours:
This position is permanent. Regular office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This position may require flexibility to work various hours and possibly weekends depending on current caseload.

Position: Housing Case Manager (Leonard, Texas)

Position: Clerical Assistant (Leonard, Texas)

JOB SUMMARY:
The Clerical Assistant is responsible for the scanning and inputting case notes, and other documents into the Challenger Soft Database. Additional duties include compiling cab vouchers, assisting with data entry as needed and performing other clerical duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED with at least six months experience in secretarial general office related duties; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work with diverse groups, strong organizational and computer skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Established experience with copier machines, experience in working with basic computer programs and the internet required; team player, ability to handle multiple tasks with established deadlines; cultural competency and sensitivity in working with persons from diverse populations and proof of liability insurance.
